Science Adventure Awaits!

Get ready to embark on an exciting journey into the universe with the SkyDome Portable Planetarium and Space Science Museum!

With one of the largest, most advanced digital portable planetarium in the region, we provide your students with an unforgettable experience that will spark their curiosity for space and science. Our goal is to inspire and educate students about the endless possibilities STEM holds for their education and future careers.

Our larger 7-meter dome can seat 50 students or 2 classes per program, which is twice as many students as the standard-sized dome that most other programs use, letting us serve more than 300 students per day!

Our “Space Science Museum” includes astronaut autographs dating back to Project Mercury, NASA memorabilia, aircraft and rocket models, soil samples from around the world, minerals, meteorites, fossils, and more. Your program can also include a large GPS telescope that gives students the opportunity to view objects in the real sky!

School Planetarium Programs

School Day Science Programs
Our planetarium and science exhibits set up in your large indoor space bringing a star filled experience to your students. In addition to professionally produced full dome movies, the presentations include live, grade appropriate tours of the current night sky that inspires students to go outside and explore the heavens themselves. Hands on exhibits encourage students to explore various science topics and STEM careers.

School Math & Science Nights
If you’re holding a Math / Science night, our planetarium and telescope can be a center piece of the evening’s activities.  We’ve participated in many science night events so we can also be a resource on setting up a successful evening.

Programs Include:

One of the largest and most advanced digital portable planetarium systems in the region.

NASA, Space & earth science exhibits

telescope to view the moon or the brightest planets and stars – even during the daytime! (optional)

Access to the same programming available in the largest planetariums in the world!

Rates:
We charge flat rates for visits outside of Arkansas. The rates include all programming fees, mileage and lodging.

If you’re state or area is not listed in our drop-down menu, please fill out the information form or send us an email with your info and we’ll send you a free, no obligation quote.  Generally speaking, it is probably cost prohibitive (due to travel costs) for a 1 day visit for areas beyond about 800 miles from central Arkansas.  That said, we can generally be competitive with Mulit-Day Rate Discounts (see below) of 3-5 day long visits to most areas of the country.

  • We allow and encourage multiple schools in the same district to coordinate to take advantage of the lower multi-day rate as long as they are consecutive days in the same week.

Multi-Day Rate Discount:
If you schedule the planetarium for 2 or more consecutive days at the same school or within the same school district, the rate drops.  For example, if a 1 day visit is $1,000 and a 2 day visit is $750 / day then the 2 day visit to the same school would be $1,500 (not $1,750), or $750 for the first school and $750 for a second school in the same district the next day.
